Try running this far in the snow. It was cold today. It is nice to clean up my muddy shoes though. 15 miles mostly on slippery trails, that ought to strengthen my stabilizing muscles.
We don't get a lot of snow here, but it is definitely one of my challenges in January-February. I'm inspired by this run of yours!
